San Antonio: A Great Place to Raise a Family

Ask anyone who lives in San Antonio what they love most about the city and you’ll mostly likely hear the atmosphere is laid back, the weather is mild, and the people are really friendly. It also doesn’t hurt that we have more Tex Mex restaurants per capita than any other city in the world. Just sayin’!

The other great thing about San Antonia is it’s one of the 10 fastest-growing cities in the United States. Job opportunities are growing (the city continues to draw in more of the tech industry each year) and so is our population. To accommodate everyone, leaders have been working to improve mass transit and bike routes throughout the city. Not every city can boast that their leaders are trying to improve the quality of life for residents.

When it comes to homes and private schools, there’s something for everyone, with a nice selection of both for people of all income levels. Neighborhoods around the city are unique and dynamic thanks to San Antonio’s colorful and diverse history.

The Broadway Cultural Corridor is a vibrant neighborhood that features some of the area’s best restaurants and museums, plus there’s a spectacular botanical garden and zoo.

The Southtown/South Flores district is a mix of quirkiness and historical charm. In one afternoon you can see beautiful 19th century mansions, take in some great art, then have lunch in a quirky hole-in-the wall and indulge in inventive food and cocktails.

The Eastside has some hip eateries and boutiques, while Missions and South offers attractive (and challenging) golf courses and four of our UNESCO World Heritage Site missions.

The affluent area of Monte Vista boasts unique and acclaimed restaurants while vibrant and walkable downtown offers an array of attractions including the legendary Alamo and River Walk.
