You have an hour’s drive to various places such as, Canyon Lake (30 miles), Guadalupe River State Park (41 miles) Government Canyon State Natural Area (42 miles), Kerrville-Schreiner State Park (70 miles), Blanco State Park (50 miles), Hill Country State Natural Area (60 miles), Enchanted Rock State Natural Area (78 miles). A good number of the residents in Schertz are made up of the military community with is short local to Randolph AFB, and Fort Sam Houston. Easy access to major highways and shopping make Schertz and ideal area on the outskirts of San Antonio.
