With the economy in a crisis, you ask, can I really buy a house right now?

The answer is a definite YES.  if you check your news, San Antonio is at the first end of a economic boom!  Why would you rent when you can buy a home, build equity and secure your future.  Did you know that people who buy a home versus renting one is more financially set for the future than playing the stock market.  Studys have shown home owning is still the number one way to invest your money and build on your future.  What's your thoughts on this?  Let's educate ourselves in this forum.

Frank I enjoyed the good news in your area. During these times I can't help but remember back to the 80's when interrest rates were at an all time historic high. This was an awful time for anyone wanting to get into a home of their own. With todays interrest rates and reasonable pricing for homes on the market things are really great if you consider it against a time like the 80s. We need to all get excited about the times we live in and figure a way to get the good news across to our potential buyers.

Thanks for the post

Dave

wow.  great points, especially with all the efforts and improvements that the FHA have installed, this may actually be a great time to get in the market!!  Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are working diligently to ensure housing remains affortable for all, and that's a good thing!  Also with annual appreciation in San Antonio increasing at a rate of 4% per year, now is a great time for that investment, first home, second home, and more!  Keep up the great inputs, this will help us all learn and keep us informed.  i appreciate the comments, keep them coming!
